Why a Sibling Is the Hardest Easy Gift

How much should I spend on a watch for a sibling?

Is it strange to give a brother and a sister the same watch?
Only if it is obviously the same watch. The same brand in two different cases reads as thought rather than as a two-for-one, and nobody has to be told the plan. Two of the identical model is a story they will tell about you for years, so do it deliberately or not at all.
What if they never wear a watch?
Then a watch is a bad gift and we would rather say so. Somebody who has not worn one in ten years does not start because it arrived in a box. The exception is a first job or a first flat, where the habit starts with the occasion rather than the object.
What if I get it wrong?
Bring it back unworn within 14 days with the box and we will change it. If the bracelet is the only problem we size it free at the counter, and that applies to watches bought online as well: you are welcome to come in with it.
