Strap and Bracelet Work Done While You Wait

A worn or broken strap is one of the quickest fixes a watchmaker can do. At Iglisi Watch in Durrës we handle strap replacements and bracelet sizing on the spot - you do not need to leave the watch with us or book in advance. Bring it in, choose from what we have in stock, and the strap is fitted before you leave.

We work on watches of any brand. Whether the watch was bought from us or from elsewhere, the service is the same.

What We Handle

Strap replacement

We remove the old strap and fit the new one using the correct spring bars for your lug width. We measure before selecting - a strap that is 1mm too wide or too narrow will not sit or close correctly.

Bracelet sizing

Metal bracelets that are too large or too small can have links removed or added to achieve the correct fit. We do this while you wait. Bring the watch and tell us how it sits on your wrist - we take care of the rest.

Clasp and buckle repair

A clasp that no longer clicks shut, a deployant that has lost tension, or a pin buckle with a bent tang are all fixable. We assess and repair clasps on the spot where possible, or source a replacement if the part is beyond repair.

Spring bar replacement

Spring bars - the small pins that hold the strap to the case - can snap or come loose over time. This is a quick fix but one that should be done correctly: a spring bar that fails on the wrist means a lost watch. We use the right size and gauge for each case.

What We Stock

We keep a practical selection of straps in stock at the workshop covering the most common lug widths (18mm, 20mm, 22mm and others). Current stock includes:

Stock varies and we do not carry every colour or finish at all times. If you have something specific in mind, send us a WhatsApp message before visiting and we will tell you what is currently available.

Not sure what lug width your watch takes? You do not need to know before you arrive. We measure the lug width ourselves and match it to the right strap. Just bring the watch.

When Is It Time to Replace a Strap?

Leather straps in particular tend to degrade gradually, so it is not always obvious when they have reached the end of their life. Signs it is time for a new one:

For metal bracelets, the main sign is looseness that does not improve after sizing - this usually means the links themselves are worn and the bracelet should be replaced.

A strap change can transform a watch. If you have a watch you like but have grown tired of its look, a different strap is often all it takes. A leather strap on a sport watch gives it a more dressed-up feel. A NATO on a dress watch makes it more casual and robust for everyday use. Come in and try a few options on the wrist before deciding.

Bringing the Watch In

No preparation is needed before you come. Bring the watch as it is. If you have a strap already purchased that you want us to fit, bring that too - as long as it is the correct lug width for your case, fitting takes a few minutes. We can also advise whether a strap you have bought elsewhere is compatible before we attempt to fit it.
