What types of watch crystals are there?
The three main types are mineral glass (standard, scratch-resistant), Hardlex (Seiko’s treated mineral glass), and sapphire crystal (the hardest and most scratch-resistant, found on higher-end watches). We work with all three types.
How long does crystal replacement take?
Most replacements are done the same day. If we need to source a specific crystal for your case, we’ll let you know the timeline before you leave the watch with us.
Can a scratched crystal be polished instead of replaced?
Light surface scratches on mineral glass can sometimes be polished out. Sapphire crystal is too hard to polish effectively. Deep scratches, cracks, or chips always require replacement. Bring it in and we’ll give you an honest assessment.
How much does crystal replacement cost?
It depends on the watch model and crystal type. We’ll quote you before we start — no surprises. Bring the watch in for a free assessment.
How do I know if my crystal needs replacing?
Obvious signs: cracks, chips, or deep scratches that catch your fingernail. Also watch for fogging under the crystal (moisture ingress), or a loose or lifted crystal that compromises the water seal.

No — walk-ins are always welcome. We’ll assess the crystal on the spot and give you a timeline and price before we proceed.
