Albania has no authorised Casio, Seiko, or Citizen service centres. If your G-Shock stops running, your Seiko 5 starts losing time, or your Eco-Drive goes dark, the only route to a proper repair is a competent independent watchmaker. This guide explains which Japanese watches we service at Iglisi Watch in Durrës, what each watch type typically needs, and what to expect on cost and turnaround.

We are not affiliated with Casio, Seiko, Citizen, or Orient. We are an independent workshop with seventeen years of experience on movements of all origins, and Japanese calibres make up a large share of what we see every week.

The Japanese Brands We Service

Casio

G-Shock (resin and metal), Vintage A168 and A700, Edifice chronographs, Pro Trek — these are among the most common watches we handle. Most Casio quartz modules need periodic battery replacement, and the mineral crystals on standard models can be replaced when scratched or cracked.

Seiko

Seiko 5 Sports, Presage, Prospex, and older manual-wind models. The NH35 and NH36 automatic calibres are reliable workhorses that benefit from a full movement service every five to seven years. We also handle crown repair, gasket replacement, and pressure testing on Seiko diving watches.

Citizen

Eco-Drive light-powered watches use a solar rechargeable capacitor rather than a standard battery — a distinction that matters for diagnosis. Promaster dive watches need periodic gasket replacement and water resistance testing. We also fit replacement straps and bracelets for the full Citizen range.

Orient

Orient automatics — particularly the F6 series — are well-built movements that respond well to cleaning and regulation. If your Orient is running consistently fast or slow, it likely needs demagnetisation or a full service rather than a new battery. We also handle strap and bracelet work for Orient pieces.

What These Watches Typically Need

Battery Replacement

Standard quartz Casio, Seiko, and Citizen models. Done while you wait — typically under 10 minutes. We inspect the gasket at the same time and replace it if it shows wear. See our battery replacement service for more detail.

Solar Capacitor Replacement (Eco-Drive)

Citizen Eco-Drive watches that no longer hold a charge after sun exposure need their solar capacitor replaced, not a battery. This requires different tooling and a different procedure. If your Eco-Drive runs well immediately after light exposure but loses time quickly in the dark, the capacitor is the likely cause.

Crystal Replacement

Most Casio models use mineral glass, which we can replace same-day for common G-Shock and Vintage sizes. Higher-tier Seiko and Citizen use sapphire; we source and fit these within a few days. Details on what to expect at our crystal replacement service.

Strap and Bracelet Work

Resin band replacement on G-Shock, metal bracelet sizing for Seiko 5 and Citizen Promaster, NATO and rubber strap fitting across all brands. Most strap work is done while you wait. Our strap replacement service covers all common lug widths.

Water Resistance Testing

Any time a case is opened — for a battery, gasket, or crystal — we recommend a pressure test before closing up. This is especially important for Seiko and Citizen dive watches rated to 100m or more. We use a calibrated pressure tester and will not certify a watch we cannot test. See our watch repair service for full detail.

Full Movement Service

For Seiko and Orient automatics that are running poorly, losing or gaining excessive time, or have not been serviced in seven or more years: full disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, relubrication, reassembly, and regulation. Turnaround is typically three to seven days. Handled under our watch repair service.

What It Costs

Do You Need an Authorised Service Centre?

During the manufacturer’s warranty period — typically two years from purchase — warranty repairs should go through the brand’s official service. Each brand publishes a list of authorised service partners on their website; for Casio, Seiko, and Citizen these are typically in Western Europe. An independent watchmaker carrying out warranty repairs will void the warranty.

After the warranty period, an independent workshop is a perfectly legitimate choice for all standard service work — battery, strap, crystal, pressure test, and movement service. There is no requirement to use an authorised centre once the manufacturer’s warranty has expired.

Still under warranty? If your watch is within its warranty period and the fault is a manufacturing defect, contact the retailer or the brand’s EU service centre rather than bringing it to us. We will tell you the same thing in the shop.

What to Bring

Just bring the watch. You do not need the box or papers for a standard service. Note any symptoms you have observed — running fast or slow, stops and restarts, crystal scratched in a specific spot. For Casio digitals, the model reference (usually on the caseback or module cover) helps us confirm parts availability before you make the trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a Casio service centre in Albania?

No official one. Iglisi Watch in Durrës is an independent specialist that services Casio movements — including G-Shock, Vintage, Edifice, and Pro Trek — without being affiliated with the brand.

Can you replace a G-Shock crystal?

Yes. We stock mineral crystals for common G-Shock models and can fit them same-day. For less common sizes we order and fit within a few days. We do not fit aftermarket crystals on watches rated for diving — the seal integrity matters.

My Citizen Eco-Drive has stopped. Does it need a battery?

Eco-Drive watches have no standard battery — they charge via light. If the watch stops after being in the dark for a long period, try leaving it face-up in sunlight for a day before concluding it needs a repair. If it still does not run, the solar capacitor may need replacing.

How long does a Casio battery replacement take?

Under 10 minutes as a walk-in. We replace the battery, inspect the gasket, and test the movement before you leave. No booking needed.

Can you service a Seiko automatic movement?

Yes. We regularly service NH35, NH36, 4R, and 6R calibres. A full service takes three to seven days depending on the condition of the movement. We regulate to within ±10 seconds per day on most Seiko automatics.

Do you work on vintage Casio digital watches?

Battery and strap work on vintage Casio digitals, yes. Electronic module or circuit board repair depends on parts availability for that specific reference. Message us on WhatsApp with the model number and we will confirm before you make the trip.

Bring Your Casio, Seiko or Citizen In

Walk-ins welcome Monday to Saturday. Battery replacements and strap work done while you wait. Message us first if you want to confirm parts availability for an unusual model.
